Jae Studios LLC COVID-19 and Health Guideline Policy

1. Purpose
This policy outlines the health and safety measures implemented by Jae Studios LLC (“the Studio”) to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission and promote overall health and wellness within our facility. These guidelines are based on recommendations from the Washington State Department of Health, King County Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
2. Scope
This policy applies to all employees, independent contractors, and participants engaging in activities at Jae Studios LLC, located at 1607 Dexter Ave N Suite 2B Seattle, WA 98109.
3. General Health and Safety Measures
- Vaccination: While not mandatory, we strongly encourage all staff and participants to stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations as recommended by the CDC.
- Stay Home When Sick: Individuals experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or other infectious illnesses should not enter the Studio or participate in activities.
- Hand Hygiene: Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the Studio. Regular handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds is encouraged.
- Respiratory Etiquette: Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow, even if masked. Dispose of used tissues immediately and wash hands.
4. Facility Maintenance and Ventilation
- Cleaning: The Studio will be cleaned and disinfected regularly, with high-touch surfaces sanitized between classes.
- Ventilation: The Studio will maintain proper ventilation systems and, when possible, increase circulation of outdoor air.
5. Class and Event Protocols
- Capacity: The Studio will adhere to any capacity limits set by local health authorities.
- Equipment: Shared equipment will be sanitized between uses. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment when possible.
- Personal Items: Participants should limit personal items brought into the Studio and keep them in designated areas.
6. Mask Policy
- The Studio will follow current state and local guidance regarding mask use. When masks are recommended or required:
- Masks should cover both nose and mouth
- Masks should fit snugly against the sides of the face
- Masks with exhalation valves or vents are not permitted
- The Studio reserves the right to require masks during periods of high community transmission or as deemed necessary for the safety of our community.
7. Exposure and Positive Case Protocol
- Notification: Participants and staff must notify the Studio immediately if they test positive for COVID-19 within 48 hours of attending a class or event.
- Contact Tracing: The Studio will cooperate with local health authorities for contact tracing efforts as required by law.
- Exposure Response: In the event of a known exposure, the Studio will follow current CDC and local health department guidelines for cleaning, notification, and potential temporary closure.
8. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Participants who miss classes due to COVID-19 symptoms or positive test results may be eligible for class credits, subject to verification.
9. Compliance and Enforcement
- All staff, contractors, and participants are required to comply with this policy. The Studio reserves the right to refuse service to anyone not following these guidelines.
- This policy will be prominently displayed within the Studio and on our website.
10. Policy Updates
- This policy will be reviewed and updated regularly to reflect the most current public health guidance and legal requirements.
- Updates to this policy will be communicated to staff and participants via email and posted notices within the Studio.
